Editorial Policy

We use primary sources only. For SNAP rules, amounts, and payment schedules, we check the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and the named state agency that runs SNAP in that state. We do not copy dates or figures from other blogs or social media posts.

Every table of payment dates or benefit amounts on this site is date-stamped with a “Last checked” date, so you can see when it was last verified against an official source.

Payment schedules are re-checked every month. Benefit amounts and income limits are updated each year on October 1, when the new federal fiscal year begins, and sooner if an official source publishes a change.

If we get something wrong, we correct it and log the correction publicly on our Corrections page, with the date and what changed.

We never collect personal benefit data. This site will never ask for your EBT card number, your PIN, your Social Security number, or your state benefits portal password.
